Even though we’ve been watching Scandal for 2 years now, and our tireless efforts to get everyone we know to watch it (and then they do and they’re all like oh you’re so wise) and we knew how big a star this would turn Kerry Washington into, this Vanity Fair cover just confirms what we knew all along. That Kerry Washington-reign just won’t let up.

Yesterday on Twitter, a serious Scandal fan got a hold of the Kerry Washington issue of Vanity Fair hitting stands on July 9th. It kind of exploded. I mean, anything that has to do with Scandal explodes on Twitter because the fans basically run it at this point, but it was more than that. This is an exciting but also important cover. For obvious reasons. The same reasons why Scandal is exciting and important. Reasons so obvious that you’re going to buy 10 copies of this issue, rigtht? Good

Also: dammmmmn Kerry. Damn.

Also x2: I like Kerry’s expression. You can tell how excited she is. For the cover, for everything. And it’s deserved.
